From Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel we seek to promote conscious and respectful tourism through the enhancement of the cultural and architectural heritage of the city of Granada and one of its most emblematic buildings, the former headquarters of the Rodríguez-Acosta bank. This has been possible thanks to a meticulous recovery work in which its original elements have been respected, such as the façade, the main staircase, the spectacular neo-Mudejar ceiling or the interior grille.
Inspired by the original aesthetics of this icon of eclectic and modernist architecture, the interior design project is also key to understanding the intimate relationship that this hotel maintains with its destination, through a design full of Andalusian-inspired elements that reflect the textile and artisanal tradition of the area and for which the expertise of local artists has been used.
In its eagerness to participate in a more regenerative tourism, Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel encourages its guests to discover the cultural heritage of Granada through experiences offered in collaboration with small local businesses, thus contributing to the economic development of the city. The interest in the local is also manifested in the kitchens of its restaurants, with gastronomic proposals that embrace the Andalusian culinary tradition and where km 0 and local products take centre stage. The hotel also works with suppliers of eco-friendly and plastic-free products and also offers guests the use of bicycles.
The refurbishment has been carried out following an environmentally friendly model, with recycled and recyclable materials and systems aimed at greater energy efficiency and solutions for reducing energy and water consumption.
